Stuttgarter International Symposium
Automotive and Engine Technology
17th Stuttgart International Symposium successfully completed
After a welcome from Prof. Dr. Michael Bargende (Chairman of the Board FKFS), Prof. Dr. Wolfram Ressel who is the rector of the University of Stuttgart has opened the Symposium ceremoniously. The inauguration was followed by the first keynote of Wolf-Henning Scheider (Chairman of the Management Board and CEO MAHLE GmbH) with the topic” MAHLE products and systems driving today’s and tomorrow’s powertrain".
For the two days over 800 participants listened to more than 100 presentations and got more insights from the parallel technical exhibition. The Stuttgart International Symposium is one of the most important discussion forums in the field of vehicle and engine development. Furthermore, the keynote of Ola Källenius, Board Member Daimler AG was of great interest for the participants. Especially because it was his first public performance in Stuttgart beeing the successor of Thomas Weber, his speech was highly appreciated. The Symposium closed with another highlight: a plenary discussion amongst others with Winfried Hermann, the minister of transport of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
There will be simultaneous interpreters for German/English and English/German on both days of the Symposium.
