From 26-27 September the 11th FKFS-Conference 'Progress in Vehicle Aerodynamics and Thermal Management' took place.
The first day of the FKFS-Conference has been started with a "Welcome" by Prof. Jochen Wiedemann, FKFS (see picture). The Introduction was followed by the Keynote "Becoming a vehicle aerodynamicist in China" of Prof. Zhigang Yang from Tongji University. After that the sessions took place: "Thermal Management", "Cooling Air flow" and "Unsteady flow". The afternoon was dedicated to demonstrations at FKFS.
The second day started with a "Warm-up" by Jorg-Dieter Vagt and was followed by the sessions "New Vehicles", "On-Road Tests" and "Aerodynamic Development". It ended with the "Farewell" of Prof. Wiedemann.
The FKFS-Conference is an ideal location to get latest information about new car developments, new or improved testing techniques and new or improved calculation procedures. It is an ideal forum to meet leading experts from industry, universities and other institutions, to exchange ideas and discuss new ones. Furthermore, demonstrations will show the state of the art in measurement technology applied live in FKFS Wind Tunnels and Laboratories.
