General Terms and Conditions
1. General
The Forschungsinstitut für Kraftfahrwesen und Fahrzeugmotoren Stuttgart - FKFS -, Pfaffenwaldring 12, 70569 Stuttgart organises various conferences. For the registration the following General Terms and Conditions are valid. Provisions to the contrary need to be confirmed in writing by FKFS.
FKFS reserves the right to adapt the event format to the regulations in force at the time of the event and to hold it in a different event format than originally planned.
2. Registration and Confirmation
You may register at the registration platform on the FKFS homepage, in writing by email or post. Upon arrival of the registration you will receive a written confirmation. Your data will be stored in our database for internal purposes. It will not be forwarded to third parties.
3. Cancellation by the Participant
You may cancel your participation until four weeks before the beginning of the conference by paying an arrangement fee of 50.00 €. Cancellations made after that date will incur a charge of 50 % of the registration fee. For cancellations made within 14 days before the beginning of the conference the full registration fee is payable. Cancellations must be made in writing. The date of the postmark will determine whether the deadline has been met. We will gladly accept a replacement delegate at no extra charge. This excludes free passes for students.
4. Cancellation by the Organizer
Should a speaker be unable to attend at short notice by reason of force majeure, illness, accident or other circumstances for which FKFS cannot be held responsible, another qualified person will be appointed to the exclusion of any claim for compensation. FKFS reserves the right to cancel the event due to organisational or technical reasons such as number of participants below the minimum required, force majeure, or other circumstances that are not in the responsibility of FKFS. Should the event be cancelled altogether, we will refund the registration fee. Beyond that, there is no entitlement to the reimbursement of further expenditures.
5. Registration Fees and Payment Policies
We ask for payment within 14 days after receiving of this invoice. The registration fee of the whole conference includes admission to all events on both days, the conference documentation, lunch at the venue for each day of the conference and drinks during breaks, admission to the formal evening reception. In case of booking a single day ticket the admission to all events is limited to those of this particular day. Undergraduate and Ph.D. students are exempt from receiving conference documentation and attending the evening reception.The other benefits remain unaffected.
6. Copyright
The conference documentation may not be reproduced or distributed to third parties without the written consent of FKFS. Audio and video recordings of the event are not allowed.
7. Filming and photography
At the conference photographers contracted by FKFS will take pictures of the event as well as of participants and presenters. Images and movies in which participants are visible in their entirety or in part are property of FKFS and may be reproduced for publication. This authorization can be revoked at any time, though this shall only apply to any future publications, not for material already published.
8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
German law applies. Jurisdication is Stuttgart. These terms and conditions exist in German and English. In the event of a discrepancy or ambiguity, the German version is binding.
9. Other Provisions
Should one or more provisions of the conditions be or became invaid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions remains uneffacted.
