Focus Topic 2024

Data-driven testing in automotive development

Modern vehicles are generating more and more data during operation by recording sensor values, counting events and exchanging control unit information. Part of the data is stored on cloud-based servers and is available for the development of future components and systems. With the increase in automated and connected driving functions as well as the speed of data transmission, the amount of data is growing.

Data-driven testing is becoming more and more important in order to be able to use the data for validation purposes. In several sessions, new methods will be presented that allow hardware and software – especially in the control unit combination – to be tested in the early stages of development.

Further topics

  • Virtual validation of automated and connected driving functions
  • AI as a test object and test method
  • Functional safety
  • Agile test methods
  • Test processes and technology
